As I get closer to 40 in a few months, I am loving and embracing the woman I am becoming, building a legacy and maximizing the time here. Age should not be just about digits anymore, it is more about the impact, the experiences, the amount of time that is given to share with people that are your life.
I have created this limited Portrait series for women just like me, to give women in their 40s, 50s, 60s and above a space for them to own their light and tell their story to empower and lift the ones coming behind.

Meet The Photographer
EMEM AKINYEMIJU
I am the Creative Director of Portraits By Emem, a renowned photography studio in the heart of Lagos, Nigeria. I am widely known for capturing the essence of women, their lifestyle and families. Beyond being a photographer, I am also a Mum of 2 children and 2 dogs, a Wife to an incredible Man. I love my family.
In the past ten years that i have been in the business of photography, it has been transformational for me and my clients. In my sessions, I have enjoyed helping women see their power, embrace and accept themselves. I really love preserving memories and creating timeless images for my clients.

what is your process like?
Pre-session consultation
The first and most important part – is getting to know you, to know how and why you want to be photographed. We will have a brief chat on the phone to talk and plan your session.
Portrait Session
Our portrait sessions are carefully designed to be as unique as you are. We take all the stress away by giving you an experience. i will guide you with poses that will flatter your personality. All you need to do is to listen to my voice and in no time, you will become a pro.
Portrait Selection
There would be an in-person selection and ordering session. This could br after your session or a day after, where you will sit in to select images with us from your session at our studio. Your selection will then be processed for the next 10 working days.
Portrait Delivery
After your images are fully processed, your digital images will be shared through a download link with you electronically. this is the “ahhha” moment where you will love and share your images with loved ones to celebrate with you.

Charity
10% of the profit from this campaign will be donated to a Charity that provides Free Sanitary Towels to young girls in rural areas. We also want to encourage any willing cheerful individual that is interested to join us to make the cause a robust one.
